NCF places a high priority on corporate and personal worship and gives considerable time to worship and ministry of song in our services. Each service has a general order and theme, but we desire and welcome the promptings and gifts of the Holy Spirit as He directs the flow of the services.
The morning service (10:30 a.m. – noon) primarily focuses on principles from Bible truths in a pastoral ministry style of exhortation and teaching. Teenagers (grades 9th – 12th) participate with the adults in the entire worship service.

Sunday evening services are scheduled at times for specific focuses or for special guest speakers.

We have classes for children and adults on Sunday mornings. Available to our pre-schoolers are planned classes with music, instruction, snacks and play. Children’s Church for K – 5th graders plus classes for 6th-8th graders follow the time of corporate praise and worship held in the sanctuary.
We have an Adult Sunday School Class which meets at 9:20 a.m. This class majors on Bible study and spends time during each class praying for known needs. In the Junior High room, at 9:30 a.m. others gather to pray in the Spirit (build in the spirit)  as God leads.

We are pleased to provide full nursery facilities during our services. When we designed our building, we made special provision for a nursery to meet the needs of young children. Our nursery is a place where the children are actively taught spiritual truths in a warm, loving, efficient and safe environment.

NCF offers various opportunities for corporate prayer.  Every Tuesday intercessors gather in the sanctuary to pray as led by the Holy Spirit from 5:00 – 6:00 a.m., from 6:00 – 7:00 a.m., from 8:00 – 9:00 am. Channels for Love, which meets from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, is a year-round group that prays over prayer requests that have been submitted by the congregation.  Fridays from 10:00 a.m. – noon is another time for group intercession in the sanctuary.  Also, prior to each Sunday morning worship service, members gather from 9:30 – 10:20 a.m. to intercede in prayer.  In addition NCF has an active e-mail prayer chain.

NCF has pastoral and lay counselors to meet the needs of those seeking quality biblical counseling. This ministry is available in areas of personal and family counseling, extensive pre-marriage counseling, and financial counseling.

NCF offers a variety of weekly adult training/discipleship classes throughout the year.  These classes have included topics, such as parenting, intimacy with God, Bible studies, help for seeing ourselves as God sees us, and many others as we have the need and availability.  Child care is provided.

NCF directs summer camp for its own youth and many others in and around East Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia. NCF makes Abundant Life Youth Camp (ALYC) a major annual ministry because more youth have made life-changing decisions at camp than at any other time of the year. A large number of people from this congregation participate in camp as counselors and supporting staff. Other participating churches also provide additional camp staff.

This Sunday evening program fosters spiritual growth and Christian service in boys (ages 5 – 12th grade). It also provides for outdoor adventure, skills development, challenge, and fellowship with other Christian youth.

This Sunday evening program help girls kindergarten – 8th grade develop a closer personal relationship with Christ and with others and helps them develop positive feelings about themselves.  The groups are: K – 2nd grade (Prims), 3rd – 5th grades (Stars) and 6th – 8th graders (Friends).

Regularly scheduled outings occur for both the senior and junior high group.  When appropriate, the activities are combined, but many of the activities are age-specific.  We also provide outings for our 3rd – 6th grade youth.

Both junior and senior high teens meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., with the focus varying from week to week.  The Junior Highs (6th – 8th graders) also meet as a Sunday School Class at 10:45 a.m., following the praise and worship time held in the sanctuary.  Senior Highs (9th– 12th graders) participate with the adults in the entire Sunday morning worship service, and then meet each Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. for Game Night.

The first Saturday (8:00 – 9:30 a.m.) of each month, the men meet in the fellowship hall for a time of fellowship and personal prayer, enjoying a freshly-prepared breakfast meal, prepared by some of the men of this fellowship.

This ministry is for widows and women age 40 and over who do not have the covering of a husband. This group is especially attentive to any in these categories who have recently become widowed or divorced. Within this group, women find support, encouragement, and empowerment to fulfill God’s call on their lives.

This Wednesday night ministry (K  -5th grade) is to prepare hearts and minds for faithfulness to Christ Jesus. Focus will be on God’s Word, building relationships, and moving in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

This ministry is a major local outreach of NCF. Approximately 100 family units are ministered to monthly. Each family receives quality food and focused personal prayer. The pantry is funded through individual gifts and the NCF General Fund.
